If you want a one coat wonder, stop looking. This is THE polish. Full opacity in one coat, thick and self leveling, Ive got three bottles to make sure I don’t run out.
Color Club's French Tip has always been my favorite white polish, and I was very happy to see that Cristine of Simply Nailogical reached the same conclusion. It's heavily pigmented and therefore opaque in one pass. Although it tends to get thick, a couple of drops of thinner restores its ease of use. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a white polish!
I bought this polish after it won Simplynailogical's best white polish.
FORMULA: For me, the formula was really thick, gloopy, and hard to work with, so I added some polish thinner to get it to the consistency I prefer. It does thicken up after one or two uses, so I constantly need to add thinner to the formula, which I hate doing!
WEAR TIME: After a day, I had tip wear and by day two, it was chipping. Luckily, I usually only keep manis on for two or three days anyway. I am a housewife (@housewifenails) and mother, and am constantly using my hands to get stuff done! I am harder on my nails, (and my bottle has quite a bit of thinner in it) so I know that effects the wear time.
REMOVAL: This polish is a nightmare at removal! Use a peel off base coat if you have one. It turns to a smeary chalky mess and takes 3-4 cotton balls per hand using pure acetone to get off!
THINGS TO CONSIDER: This was made for a quick one swipe French tip application, so using it as a base for nail art wasn't its purpose. It's thicker for that reason, but it dries fairly quickly, even using a thicker one coat so I don't have to go back for a second one.
This is the perfect white polish. The only two downfalls (which are totally fixable) are that the brush is pretty small, so you'll probably want to swap them out with another Color Club brush. And you'll need some polish thinner because it gets thick. But other than that, its cheap its opaque. What more could a girl want :)
I love how opaque this polish is! You only need one coat for full opacity! My only problem is that the formula can become thicker than other polishes would be after many uses. Other than that this polish is of exceptional quality!
